Are you doing this, Paul? Unfortunately, I can't photgraph the return line, but I can probably get a good pic of the custom feed line. _________________ Toofah King Bad

Just considering my options since the white ghost leaks fuel on the muffler if you fill the tank too full. _________________ White 87 924S "Ghost"

Highly recommended upgrade. Also big fun at the gas station, as the attendant stands there waiting for the pump to shut off. . .and waits. . .and waits. . .and wonders where 22 gallons of fuel are going. _________________ Toofah King Bad

Hi..I just did the tank conversion on my 924 S...did you have any issues with the fuel gauge in the dash..did you have to recalibrate the gauge needle..Im asking because the other day my low fuel level light came on and seemed earlier than normal...granted I am unsure of the reliability of the gauge sender since it was used with my donor tank, and my fuel level gauge is a little jumpy anyways, but was wondering if you had to do anything to the gauge itself since they are calibrated differently from 944 to 924 senders..

Gauge works just as stock. Therefore, bad grounds, old wiring, or flaky sending unit will give odd results...just like the stock setup. _________________ Toofah King Bad

Yeah, it doesn't need correcting. Late sender works with early gauge. You have another problem. _________________ Toofah King Bad

Ok cool..must just be the sender..it was used and didn't know the condition..should have checked it before I installed...and maybe the fact that I only put 3 gallons of gas in after the install to begin with and maybe just functioning normally..LOL..forgot about that |

Anyone save the original photos?
The photo bucket ones are a little fuzzy, but I can make out the intent. Would be great if the original pics were available for better clarity though.
Great write up BTW - thanks for sharing! _________________ Jay Wellwood

Hi, Do you know what clearance the plastic fuel tank should have to the trunk floor?
Many thanks! _________________ ______________
