I seem to have a leak coming from up above the fuel pump in the rear, looks like a round plug with a rubber gasket around it.
Anyone have any ideas or thoughts? _________________ 82 924

| Are you talking about the bottom of the tank where the feed line for the pump comes out? |

It looks like it, been reading and it may even be the fuel tank pick up filter. _________________ 82 924

| It is. You'll have to drain the tank first. Pinch the line to the fuel pump with hose clamp pliers or needle nose vise grips with pieces of hose on the jaws to protect the hose from cuts. Remove the pump and drain the gas from the tank back into gas cans. Then R&R the seal. You can try to tighten it up without draining the gas or taking anything apart but if the seal tears you'll have a leak you can't stop. |

Thanks for the info, I'll put it up on the lift and give that a try. _________________ 82 924

| Jus make sure you have something to pinch the fuel line shut so you can stop fuel flow if/when you need to. And make sure you have plenty of gas cans to put it in. |

PN 928 201 187 02 Sealing Ring
Also, it goes without saying to filter the fuel drained. |
