| I am in need of beige carpet for an '82 931. Does anyone have a nice set to sell. My driver (left) side is showing wear and needs replaced. I could use the passenger (left) side of a right hand drive car, those should be in good shape. I want German carpet and I want it moulded so there are no seams. I would love to find a N.O.S. set. I haven't been able to find the original material either, I can make a moulded set if I can. Any ideas? |

The current kit offered by Classic 9 is not molded, but Bob showed me a product last November that is molded, although more limited in carpet fabric choices. I can double check to see if / when that product is going to be available. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

| I just saw my post posted twice. Sorry. The moulded set classic 9 will offer is domestic carpet. I can't speak for Bob but I'm sure its the same product others offer. There are only a couple places that have the moulds to do a moulded set. The 911's used sliverknit and the 944 used velour. The 924 used something else. It looks to be the same fiber as sliverknit but the texture is different. Its similar to the 944 velour but the plugs of material are larger and not as tightly woven. I would prefer to have it as original as possible even though the factory carpet wasn't that good. |

| Dan, do you have any quality pics of the different carpet sets installed? I am particularly Interested at how noticeable the seams are. |

The factory carpet isn't available. There are several places to buy molded domestic but only a couple places actually make it.
What kind of carpet are you looking for and at what price range? |

| I would talk to the folks over at autos international they should be able to find the correct german carpet...won't be molded but I am sure they will be able to match the material. these guys are the bomb when it comes to porsche interiors. |

I called them up yesterday and they said that they no longer make the kit. I also asked them if they knew anyone who did and they said no. I called Bob over at classic 9 leather and he told me the samething that it was to hard to match the kit correctly and he no longer will make them........ what is going on? _________________ Porsche 924 1977 N/A
