this is a turbo silencer ring. does 931 have one at all or no. does it increase power or decrease power. i want to have that loud turbo spool. do you recommend doing it if possable.

The silencing ring is to cover a ported shroud or map width enhanced compressor housing. These are only found on modern turbos.
The old KKK's dont have a ported shroud so silencing rings are not necessary. _________________ 1979 UK 932 |

Perhaps a few of THESE ITEMS would suit the bill? _________________ Toofah King Bad

@ Rasta
Crazy, if you want to hear more of the turbo spool, get rid of the stock airbox and replace it with a straight tube and cone filter like one of these (both custom made, both mine):
It won't "magnify" the sound, but you'll be able to hear it more than with the stock airbox. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

This was my experience also. _________________ 1981 932 with mods:

The stock airbox doesn't look that bad to me. Any power gains to benefit from going to the setup you posted Ideola? (Dyno'd results anyway) _________________ - 1977 Porsche 924 2.0 N/A (Trackday Project)
