im guessing no one has done this since the seats would cost as much as most 924

Im betting they would fit somehow, maybe some a custom plate to mount to the stock sliders. I put cheap aftermarket seats in my car without too much trouble.

Earlier 911 seats were confirmed to fit as the Corbeau brackets listed in their catalog works for the 924/944/911 up to 89.

However the platform is fairly flat and could be adapted.

I put 993 seats into 924 and these fit without any problems. I don't know if it is helpful but I have read few 993 guys putting 996 seats so it is entirely possible that these are bolt on.
In worst case you have to drill additional hole into seat rail...
