Has anyone put a 2.2 vtec into a 924? Just wondering if its been done or if there's any reason why not. _________________ It could always be worse so don't worry about it and get the spanners out |

I don't believe so, at least not one that has been mentioned here.
I think the only ones that would work well would be the later versions that turned the proper direction (F20, K-series, etc.).
You'd have to adapt a bellhousing to the torque tube, much like other engine swaps do (look at some of the V8 swap wiki info, etc) along all of the rest of the work that an engine swap would entail.
The prevailing method is to cut the bellhousing and input shaft mounting hole off a donor FWD box with a saw and then drill the resulting plate to fit the face of the TT.
This is of course assuming the gearing of the 924/944 gearbox you use works well with the chosen Honda motor and yada yada yada.... _________________ Stefan

Interesting. I was just looking around at cheap donor cars and came across a 2.2 prelude on a 2000 plate. just daydreaming at the moment but might be interesting. _________________ It could always be worse so don't worry about it and get the spanners out |
