Well the car in question has just sold on Ebay for $14,999!!!!!!!!!
Even in Australia that's a lot for a GT Replica. Particularly one that needs a fair amount of refurbishment.
However to be fair, it is a faithful recreation using factory parts which must have cost a bomb back in the day.
Did you buy it back Carris? Or somebody else on the Board? _________________ 80/81 932/8 ROW |

No I didn't buy it back, not for that money. Was a bit strange as I thought it was listed for 14999 buy it now, but then it turned into a bid. Seemed a bit odd. Will be interested to see the buyer feedback. _________________ Chris |

Sure he didn`t have a BIN option. Starting price was $1499.
Anyone know who the new owner may be?
Look out for a new Au member posting "Bought this carrera GT and .............. "
Think a few Au members have it bookmarked and interested in whatever feedback. |

Been in Melbourne for 2 years, was in the UK for a year striaght from QLD though. I move about a bit.
Had my old 924 NA for a few weeks, sold it back to the guy I bought it off. Is getting a full restoration so nice to know it went to a good home. _________________ Chris |

Hi all,
as a previous near purchaser that wretched car is back on ebay again to tempt me!! Aussue Muscle Car Traders still owner so must not have sold last time, or did & back with him again. $19,990 1 bid no reserve. When I originally asked about this car somebody said a replica would not be an investment!! 4 years on, no work & this car is still hovering some $6k over its original selling price from a loving member. Go figure... _________________ asn993 |

Yeah..amazing to see it pop up again. If one can believe the ad then he has spent a few dollars on getting it drivable again. _________________ 80/81 932/8 ROW |

Not sure he has done anything to it, a lot of that stuff is what I did to it, and that wasn't recent, I sold it to him in 2005. The logbooks and reciepts were lost before I bought it in 2004. The brakes, fuel pumps, expansion tanks etc etc, were done by me. Though it was never fully serviced and probably still isn't. A real one might be worth three times what he is asking, but that is a real one in mint condition, that thing is pretty rough and needs a lot of work. I would think about it at 10K but anymore than that would be a worry, and I'd say it has been sitting around for 5 years not doing much so would of degraded more than when I had it. _________________ Chris |

Wow..what a bullshitter the current vendor has proven to be! You'd certainly buy a car from him...not! _________________ 80/81 932/8 ROW |

Just an update to let you know this car is back on the market by the previous owner Aussie Muscle Car in Qld. Asking $21,900 or offer on ebay. Describes the car quite accurately in terms of history but now no docs or paper history and mechanical A1 condition. Let the bidding begin!! _________________ asn993 |
