Got it up to 130kph today (80mph) on the highway and I was just curious as to how much more the n/a is capable of. It was on a slight uphill so I'm sure I could get it up to maybe 150 (93mph).
What's the fastest you've gone? |

The max speed I recorded on my 924n/a was about 180km/h - (160km/h was max on 3'rd gear in my dogleg gearbox) - I say only about original speedometer value
In 931 some time ago I past 200km/h and I was little afraid after I saw something about 205-210km/h but suspension/brakes/engine was like new or was new. _________________ 931 82' - 5000km after full engine rebuild

143 MPH on the Coquihalla between the toll booth and Merritt in my old 931. Another time I made it from Hinton,Alta to my house in Richmond,BC in 7hrs 10mins,same car. Thats 885kms btw. The last 1 1/2 is through the Greater Vancouver area. _________________ 1979 Euro 931, Olive

Hell I did 100 in it with the back brakes out of adjustment. I'm just insain like that. I did 90 mph on highway 180 which is one of the curviest roads in Georgia. I always drove my 924 like it was a race. Selling that car was the biggest mistake. _________________ 81 924 N/A

The #77 racecar will just about touch 115 mph on the big tracks (Mid-O, Road Atlanta etc), if pedaled with intent. _________________ Vaughan Scott

Are we all talking about the stock speedos which are often read at circa 10% too fast or real speed?? If you are not going more than 120mph real speed (circa 130mph indicated) then your not going fast!! _________________ 1980 931 - forged pistons, Piper cam, K27/26 3257 6.10 hybrid turbo, 951 FMIC, custom intake, Mittelmotor dizzy & cam pulley, H&S exhaust, GAZ Gold, Fuch'ed, Quaife

If you ever come back to Road Atlanta let me know I'd love to see a 924 on that track. _________________ 81 924 N/A

Speedos are inacurate and GPS units are sometimes hard to read at such speeds. Best is to read your RPM, know the wheel and tires sizes and gearbox code, then you can calculate exactly how fast you were going. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits
