Vacuum lines. Check them all.

Since it is missing and has a high idle, I would check the intake to cylinder head gaskets first. Try spraying a mist of water on each vacuum area and listen for a change in the idle and look for white exhaust smoke.

Best way to find intake leaks is with a smoke machine. Worth a couple of bucks to have a mechanic do this.

Whats going on with this car

I checked for air leaks , I tweeked the intake bolts all were fine. Started the car it idled 1000 rpm. Took it down the road missed real bad turbo would not kick in just made some kind whineing noise . Got home car idled 1500 rpm flipped bonnet had steam coming up for exhaust area and the battery has started to leak acid . Are these all connected or am I on a a roll of bad luck .

The battery may have an internal short which could cause low voltage and poor spark. Was the steam from the exhaust caused by the battery acid?

Forgot about the right hand drive. Are there any heater hoses in the vicinity of the exhaust that could be spraying coolant?

You may want to check for an oil leak at the cam cover or the oil line feed to or from the turbo.

Did you check the charge pipe coming directly off the turbo? Pull up on it and make sure the bracket hasn't come loose or broken.

Did it smell like coolant or oil? Hopefully it didn't smell like fuel, which could explain the poor running.

Before you posted this I would have said maybe the AAV is stuck open.
