I Drove out to Sears Point this weekend for the PCA races. It was a ton of fun. I parked two cars down from and individual with a 82 931 projects car. He has a Carrera GTS body kit almost done, waiting for front clip (just 944 one for now) Also a front mount 951 intercooler. It was very nice to see a 924 represented there even though he wasn't racing. His intercooler install was very clean and the ducting was very well done.
In my first walk through the pits I almost pissed myself when I saw a RUF R Turbo Convertible. I thought to my self "Is this guy nuts, Racing wheel to wheel in this thing." He was in the Stock and Improved class and his car was very impressive. The turn out was great, many 951's, 944's, 914, 911 TT, Carrera RS Replicas,GT-3, a 935 on display, and even, a murcielego (sp?) Although there were no 924 on the track it was a good day of racing. I am going to switch PCA regions to be in the Golden Gate from Diablo. They are much more active.
