(To see more details and pictures check my thread in the 924S forum.)
I have access to a '87 924S that needs a new engine. Given that I have the car, money (not unlimited but thousands) and access to free auto repair professionals and parts at cost, is there a better engine to put in a 924S since I am going to be putting one in anyway? I have read here that the Audi I-5 20vt is good but don't know how putting significantly different power under the hood will impact the rest of the car.
Note: my goal is not racing, drifting or any other performance competition. I would like a little extra oomph (who wouldn't) but do not want to mess with the handling characteristics of the stock 924S, which I understand are excellent given the near 50/50 weight distribution.
Thoughts are appreciated. _________________ Drive Fast, but Stay Straight |

Never mind. I'll just add a chip, as recommended in another thread. _________________ Drive Fast, but Stay Straight |
