Just noticed tonight that the small black fuse panel above the main fuse carrier, is sort of warm to the touch in the vicinity of fuses 1 &2 (on this smaller fuse block) fuse 2 on this is for the fuel pump relay according to the owners manual. I touched the bundle of wires leading to this fuse block to see if they had the same temperature, but they felt normal.

Is this something normal ? I am thinking that maybe the fuel pump relay could have something to do with it as a couple of times I have wiggled the relay with the engine running, it has stalled the engine on occasion.

Thanks for the help,

Arthur

If your fuel pump is starting to wear out it will draw more Amps.

So the extra current flowing through those wires will generate more heat.

Thanks for your reply Tom,

I can see your logic, but I want to think that it isn't the fuel pump was changed two years ago...!!!.

I picked up a new fuel pump relay at work today, will give it a try to see if it makes any difference, as the one I removed from the car looks a bit manky and there is something rattling inside....

Thanks

Arthur
