Thought you guys would want to see my newist find. Found it on a local craigslist add. Paid 500 buckaroons. Looks like car has been sitting for a few years, engine is pretty rough on the outside I think the hood may have been open for a while. The timing belt is still on so im crossing my fingers that theres no bent valves, I already went through all that once. Interior is all there, I like the pasha door cards . I may have to go full pahsa! The body is straight and there is no big dents anywhere. Theres only one place in the body thats bad, its the nose pannel but it should pop out. There is a mount bolted to the front bumper that the previous owner used to hall it with his rv, if anyone wants it. Im going to pull the engine soon and see what Ive got to work with. Plan on rebuild with megasquirt, new turbo, and new exhaust manny. I really like what Bass Gt did on car where he put the turbo where the cis was. Overall I think it was a good buy if nothing else Ill just use it as a parts car, but it looks like everything is there. Heres some pictures.
And heres one for the road.

Hey TBrown... have you had that orange beast for 1-2 years nearly? I remember seeing that change a few hands rather quickly back then. I was wondering where it ended up at.
BTW: nice find for $500. _________________ 1980 Turbo

Yeah its been a little over a year now. Alexvex was the one who painted it orange. I think he bought a 951 or something and needed some garage space so he sold it and then I bought it off the guy he sold it to. He sold it because bent some valves, he had a vacuum line disconnected and it was running like crap so he moved the timing belt over a few teeth and cranked it over. Ended up bending three intake valves. He was fed up with it so he sold it for cheap. I actually got it for 400. I fixed er up and she runs like a dream. Just bought everything to install the rear sway and get a four wheel alignment. We'll see how it goes. _________________ Tangerine Dream- 1980 924 Turbo

Yeah thanks Joe, I think a full pasha interior would be pretty sweet but its a little woozy. I like the door cards tho it adds a nice touch of the 80's. Im going to keep the rear where it is for now but I may lower it a later. My project now is rebuilding a motor and megasquirt or some kind of EFI and im planning on putting on a distributorless ignition system along with a turbo . Yeah good luck with your project, your car's lookin good, but I, like everyone else, must ask what color are you going to paint it??? _________________ Tangerine Dream- 1980 924 Turbo

Just saw this post as I was looking to see how my old car was doing. Friend of mine spotted it in Indy recently.
Funny that you bought another one...that's the color that the orange one was originally
Good to see it's still on the road! _________________ --Alex--

That rustoleum job is holding up pretty nicely. I might go this route with my car... won't be orange though. _________________ 1981 931 CGT replica, OEM CGT intercooler, .8 BAR WG spring, GTS Headlights, Innovative Wide band A/F, A/C delete, 16" Fuchs, Weltmeister 200lb lowering springs, Bilstein HDs front, Koni Sport rears. |

I'll see if I still have the paint and maybe ship it to you or something. I bought it at a Menards and it was the only orange they had. _________________ --Alex--
