Would it be treason to sell one of my 924s to buy something like this?
I just have a thing for 30's era cars!
Oh, and do you think it would work out as a good daily driver over the summer
Probably not, right? _________________ 1977 Porsche 924 - sold

Does it have a modern drivetrain, suspension, and brakes? If not, NO. _________________ White 87 924S "Ghost"

Hey, sway bars were standard! That's something Porsche couldn't claim on the 924. _________________ 1977 Porsche 924 - sold

A plurality of 924s excuses you from any suspicion of treason.
I say go for it. You only live once. If you've always wanted one and can afford it without causing your family to sacrifice, get it. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

If I do go ahead and get it, I'll mount some Tommy gun racks in the trunk.

It's got a big back seat.....which is a real plus at the drive-in movies during the summer months. _________________ 1981 931 (Canadian car)

I'm thinking if it's all original 0 tp 60 will be about 20 seconds and stops from 60 will take 200 feet or more.
It will need ignition maintenance every 5000 to 12000 miles.
The wipers work only when decelerating. _________________ White 87 924S "Ghost"

Straight 8 with 5.7:1 compression, 100 hp was the standard motor in the 37 special. _________________ White 87 924S "Ghost"

I see you've been reading the owner's manual, Paul!
Well, I don't think I'll get it. Too much work will probably need to be done. Also, I've found a very nice 928 for sale, which is WAY more practical. _________________ 1977 Porsche 924 - sold

Or maybe I'm old enough to have driven one? My Dad owned one of those in the 50s, it was a piece of junk. _________________ White 87 924S "Ghost"

I guess I didn't know where you knew that from and assumed you looked it up. I apologize.
Would there be any cars you would suggest that are from the 30's? _________________ 1977 Porsche 924 - sold
