I must say that every petrol-head should experience The Ring and the surrounding area...It's simply heaven on Earth. There's nothing quite like waking up at a campsite to the smell of burned racing fuel and the roar of engine's under load. I'll try to find some of the photos from 2007 when I made the trip down for the F1 European GP. _________________ 924 NA - December/'78 - 5-speed snailshell |

Pricing at the moment is :
* 1 Runde: € 22,-
* 4 Runden: € 75,-
* 8 Runden: € 145,-
* 15 Runden: € 250,-
* 25 Runden: € 390,-
* Jahreskarte: € 1.075,- (1 year abo)
Before wife and kids and everything had once a year's admission.
Don't ask my brake, tyre and gas budget that year (sometimes had to sleep in the car not much space in a '11
Haven't got there for at least 5 years now, but every thursday and friday I see hordes of brits going down to it, well I suppose seeing the cars and sometimes the sticker at the back
Remember in those days had a lot of fun with guys having stickers like been there 1000x or even 10000x.
But some also only go once ... well their car or bike then
By the way even if you don't wanna crash overthere (is expensive in every way) but at least it is a road and as such you are not driving on a track so std insurance kicks in (well sometimes last long before settlement). _________________ Carrera GT '80 Silver

been there with a couple of cars already. If you want to do some serious driving I would advice the trackdays over the TF. Much safer and marshals next to the track.
with my civic
and with my daily
the Ring is an amazing place, even if you don't drive it. If you just put yourself on a nice terras in Adenau on a sunny weekend day, it's amazing what you see driving by. Last time I was there, a 924 GT was making it's laps. Time before I saw 2 Gumperts, and the Porsche GT3 seems to grow on trees over there. |
