Hi,

I installed bias-valve for rear axle. Changed brake fliud again - some darker fliud came from front calipers. (fluid was renewed 2000 km ago). Now car will be tested on closed meeting to check how it is going. Hope some pictures appear

Anyone used these caliper brackets for an early 944 to boxster caliper?
Seems like these might be more plentiful than 951 brakes.

Boxster calipers are no bigger than 951/S2 units but they are Monoblock design, thus a bit lighter, more rigid and are easier to mount because of the radial not axial mount like 951 (non-M030) ones.

Car was tested on closed meeting and on road. Everything works fine. No more locking of rear wheels.
Brake force is very big, feeling is also very good.

Hi,
To those who hesitate. "Feeling and brake force" is sooo much better on 4-pot than on std ones. But calipers MUST be in graet shape - no corrosion under plates.

I am preparing a 924S for hillclimbs and short circuits, and I am using 15" 931 wheels. Will these brakes from a 1986 951 fit on the 931 web wheels ?

Dear Carl

Thank you for your Email, We do use the Boxster Calipers , and used the 944 Turbo 1986 Front discs they about the same diameter but thicker. You need different brake hoses.

Please Email or call 0044 (0)121 585 6088 if you need more assistance or would liketo order or book in.We look forward to hearing from you soon

So the 986S red calipers would fit with adopters, and with 951 86 discs right ?

So do they use those discs without updating to 944 turbo hubs?

15 inch rims will fit if you use a 7 or 8 mm spacer on the front and stick with teh standard 25 mm spacer from the 931 on the back. For both installations you will need to install longer studs (readily available) I think I used 76mm studs in the end. I run three pieces 15 inch compomotive rims but the offset etc is similar to thh 931 spider webs

I was looking on a 931 yesterday with black Boxster calipers and 911 discs, i think they are 282x24mm. They fit under Cookie Cutters! Awesome stopping power according to the owner.

Finally I've got a pair of 951 '86 brake rotors and a pair of boxter "black" calipers. And that's what I need to say: those calipers wouldn't fit without modification. Distance between the pins in the lower caliper part is only 26.5 mm, and the rotor thickness is 28 mm. I'm going to grind those pins a bit to get enough clearance.
