You're using a broom stick to hold up the hood?

You think that hood rod and plastic holder is going to save you SO much weight don't you Vaughan.

wiseass...

Actually, I do have the prop rod in there still - but didn't for a while. Actually, wthe prop rod, if used excessively, will warp the hood. The broomstick also holds the hood open more, allowing more headroom

More pics from Mid-Ohio shortly, just have to scan them in... very cool shots!!!

Yes I noticed that, I see there are some little ball joints right below the hood on the car on all the 924s and 931s I have seen..are these for shocks? The ones from the 944? They look like it. The hood does definately get warped, comparing my 82 931 that has been driven by the PO, to a 80 931 that was not driven; the 80 931 had a very warped hood since it was open a lot.

Nyuk nyuk...

I promise soon... well, in a month, to have new video. Actually, I got photos (prints) from the last weekend, but they need scanning. Biggest thing is that I'm enjoying a 2 month vacation from racing to play with the turbos. I will be back out in Sept for 2 races, and one in October, then the season's done. Coming back from such a long vacation is gonna be hell!

Hey, what is your racing budget for a typical year? How often do you get on the track?

Michael.
