yeah, it's called a 924S.
Probably a lot cheaper and a lot less frustrating to buy an S or a 944. |

well if Porsche can do it, so can you.
Will it be easy? No.
Will it be cheap? No.
Will it be worth all the time and effort? No. |

Exactly how were you planning on buying this 944 engine anyway, since you have no cash? Sexual favors?
There really is no bolt-in engine swap for the 924. Even the 924 turbo engine requires a torque tube and transmission swap, plus a hydraulic clutch conversion. The 944 engine mounts to the suspension crossmember, not the frame as in the 924. I hope you didn't buy your 924 thinking it could be made fast easily. It can't.

Let me know when you find complete 944 engines, with fuel system, computer, and exhaust for $200 at any junkyard. Oh, and of course, you'll need a 944 torque tube and transmission. That should only be $50 or $60 at a junkyard too, right?
What do you need more power for so badly anyway? Why not just admit you made a mistake buying the 924 and sell it, and buy something that is capable of meeting your power needs? There are no bolt-in swaps. You don't have the money to make your car faster, engine swap or not.
