I'm putting a 931 together primarily for autocrossing. I would either be in E stock or A Street Prepared for SCCA. From the SCCA and NASA rules I've seen, they leave a lot out. Is it legal to remove such items as: firewall insulation, carpet insulation, windows or mechanisms, welded on extra brackets? Do the official rulebooks cover items as specific as these? I don't want to remove too much right now and suffer later. Thanks. -Troy

Troy, the best autocrossing in California used to be down at Cal Expo. We used to have about 20 clubs running down there. Are they still running? They used to give you all suspension mods free, and allow you three additional mods before you had to move up to prodified.

Thanks guys. OK, I guess I'll get the rulebook. I just hope it has specifics.

Vaughan, you're racing in ITA. Is that a separate rulebook? Do the 931's run in the same class?

Yes, it is a separate rulebook - the Club Racing GCR. 931's do not race in SCCA, no turbos allowed.
