I just bought this and found the insert on the top 100 rather interesting. Of course, I noted at #95 the Porsche 924S(86-8. Up higher somewhere around #88 was the '88 924S Le Mans. What separates the stock 87924S from the 88 924S LeMans and what would it take to reproduce that car? Of note, the regular 924 from 77- was up higher still near #60 or something like that and there was the 924GT and 924 turbo I believe. Most 924's were represented but on the back cover were a number of "not in the top 100" 924's. Worth a look. Lots of nice pictures too.

In order to build an 88 LeMans clone, you'd need:
M030 suspension
Adjustable Koni shocks/struts
Rear sway bar
Small diameter leather wrapped 4 spoke steering wheel
Somewhat 80's turquoise and grey cloth pinstripe interior
Sports seats
Also somewhat 80's turquoise trimmed 15" phone dial rims with black painted centers, size 15x6" front, 15x7" rear.
I think that's it. This is for North American cars by the way as the European/UK cars had different finishes on the wheels plus special LeMans graphics on the sides of the car. Also, yellow trim was available on white cars. Our LeMans cars were all black.
If you want a real one, there's a low mileage, automatic car for sale here right now!

Thanks for the information. I bet it handles beautifully. I already have the small diamter 4 spoke steering wheel as an option on my car, so I guess I'm almost there then eh?
