Has anyone fitted one of these systems to their 2.0 924? I'm in the process of fitting one to a Midas Gold and would be interested to hear if anyone has done the 924 with one.

Is the stock system so bad? 25mpg from a fuel injected, streamlined car that in all honesty ain't that quick seems pretty poor to me. I had a 2.0 Alfa 75 that ran at 150bhp and delivered around 40mpg in a car that was nearly as aerodynamic as a brick, all that on essentially the same fuel injection system..

Ya, I have one on mine. It was one of the first "mods" I did to it after getting it up and running. I think the OE ignition curve is heavily orientated towards emmisions namely NOX. These motors can handle a far faster more aggressive ignition curve. I think this is the biggest advantage of going MJLJ.

Hi Todd,

Thanks for the reply, did you find an improvement in fuel economy?

Didn't really drive it long enough before moving on to EFI and a blower.

It's a cheap fully mappable ignition system.

Has anyone done this type of conversion on a US spec 924 (either with EFI or CIS)? Was there any big difference in performance? from the Hayens manual it seems that there is a more than 5 degree difference between the US and Euro spec vacuum advance curves. Also, a 1 point in CR difference should translate to around 3% difference in peak BHP, so the differences between Euro and US should be less than this, if everything else is the same.

It seems to me that my vacuum advance is not operational at all, so I will be adding on ignition to my VEMS EFI, just need to source the parts for this(coil pack, trigger wheel and pickup). But it would be great to hear from other peoples experiences on EFI and ignition on the US spec motor.
