this is for the people that have done a v8 swap and run the transaxle
what did you do for clutch discs
that is really the on part that would be hard if you wanted to use the stock torque tube
did u find a clutch disc the rite size or did you have to have one made _________________ The Ginger

You should contact Porschev via PM. Also, here's some RECOMMENDED READING where Porschev and MacBDog discuss related issues for Mac's recent V8 conversion. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

If you have a 924 turbo/944 all you need is a Chrysler disc. Any one with a 1" x 23 spline. They make them up to 12"
If you have a 924 N/A (early) you are stuck with a 9 1/4" Ford disc. (13/16 x 24 spline) |

Well I looked it up and I believe a Chevy v8 uses a 11 3/8 disc if u use the 944 tranny with the 1"shaft.& 23 splines a disc out of a 85 dodge 1/2 ton will fit perfectly _________________ The Ginger
