From what I know of VW/audi and the 924 from reading, you will have to fabricate mounts, maybe even tap the block to hold them, and make an adaptor for the pig if you intend to keep the 924 trans.

I thought about the same thing before I heard how freshly rebuilt my motor was. I have a 1.8l block sitting around and I was going to build it up with a rotorcharger and a megasquirt setup..... I'd have to keep the old 924 bottom end, or make mounts.... I'm keeping my motor stock for now and maybe I'll built the 1.8 for my vw rabbit.

Do you have any pictures of your test fits and or progress?.... I'm in washington too, I would love to stop by your garage someday and take a peek/ lend a hand.

He probably used one from a Euro AUDI. They used FWD and here in the US just about all are AWD. It would be an O1E 6 speed similar to the one used in the 968. From what I understand it wouldn't be too difficult a swap. You would need a late 924 turbo TT or one from a 944 or you would need to make an adapter from the 924 13/16 24 spline to 1" x 23.
