This is pretty cool, this guy did the MSD 6A system and he even shows crystal clear how to wire it...
Hmm... alternative to megasquirt?
What's the difference between just doing the 6A or this.. dont' think ya need to machine a trigger wheel for this... _________________ 1977 Porsche 924

I kinda figured, i mean doesn't every 924 owner who has a computer eventually at some point migrate to the site?

The MSD 6A is a replacement for the ignition control unit, which in stock form is referred to as CD, or capacitive discharge. It is triggered by the ignition distributor, and therefore does not require a crank trigger. It is not a replacement for MegaSquirt, as it simply replaces the stock ignition control, is not programmable, and does nothing for fuel injection, which is what MS is primarily designed for. It just so happens that MS can also be used to control other engine functions, including but not limited to ignition. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |
