Has finally started! Khal and I have had some great runs in GT Legends.
Go buy it! It's like, $10! Many, many FREE add-on tracks available, including Road America, Laguna Seca, Sebring, Mosport, Surfer's Paradise, Nordschliefe, and more! Awesome classic cars, even Porkers! Incredible sound and graphics! FUN!
See you on the track!

I second Rasta's post...
A quick extra comment: I'm sure some here would be quick to dismiss it out of hand as a dumb arcade/video/kiddie game... don't! It's very realistic. Pocket change for the software and less than a tank of gas for your 924 Turbo to get a force-feedback wheel... it's the cheapest racing you're ever gonna do! No sign-up or subscription fees for online racing, like Rasta says, it's free and fun!
Most home computers these days will run it easily.
And c'mon, man, you get to thrash an RSR around the Nordschleife! What more can you ask for?! OK, fine, you want more? You can have a few beers while you're racing! _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

Can I play on my PS3? I just can't face sitting in front of a computer on my own time as I sit in front of one at work enough as it is. _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan |

I'm not sure if you're serious or not..? But just in case, unfortunately, the answer is no. It's 'PC' only. _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

Sorry, I was serious. All I play now is PS3, I don't have the patience to keep up in the PC world, with all the gigs and mhz and ram and bios and other crap you have to know. I like the simplicity of buying a system and knowing it will play all the games I want until Sony tells me I need a new system. That being said, I do love my games. Hopefully the full version of Gan Turismo coming out in the late fall will be online so you dudes can pickup PS3's and we can get online. _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan |

Sorry, it was in Rasta's post but perhaps it wasn't obvious. The game is called GT Legends.
Joysticks'n such? Yeah, well, you don't really want a joystick. A proper wheel is best. There is probably a dozen different kinds. The ones with vibration-feedback are good, the ones with full force-feedback are better and the ones with full force-feedback and clutch and stick-shift are the best... unfortunately you're getting well up into the $400-odd range for something like that. The basic ones with no feedback start at probably $20 and it just goes up from there. But I have seen force-feedback wheels, decent ones, on special for about $100 new. Possibly much less if you scour the local rags and get one second-hand.
That being said, I'm actually playing the game using an xbox 360 controller! It's not perfect, I admit, but it is full analog so the subtlety of control is surprisingly good. The xbox controller is not even cheap, at around $50 (or at least, it was when I bought it) but I have to say that the only reason I bought it is because I'm often travelling and the xbox controller is a Hell of lot easier to pack in my laptop case than a full wheel setup, and it's nigh-on indestructible!
I recommend a wheel, though. _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

Promises, promises... c'mon, let's see what you've got!
I was driving the GT40 in the vid, Rasta was in the 906. It was an epic battle!
But I was still learning the track, and the car... setup is very important and I hadn't quite got it right. So, even with the speed advantage of the GT40, with my being over-cautious into the corners, Rasta still had the better of me. My big lockup of the right rear didn't help! _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

Go pick up the game and you can see my braking habits from a better perspective. . .assuming you aren't off in the grass. _________________ Toofah King Bad
