im goin to be putting a gm 3800 v6 in my 77 924
im trying to figure out what clutch im goin to have to use
the 3800 came in a camaro with a manual so getting the flywheel and pressure plate wont be a problem
but the clutch disc is goin to be a problem
the 3800 has a 9 5/8 diameter disc and it has a 26 splines
i counted the splines on the porsche clutch and it is 24 splines
i can find a 9 5/8 clutch but the 24 splines is goin to be a problem
i found a clutch from an izuzu pick up that is 9 1/2 and has 24 spline but im not sure how big the diameter of the shaft is on the porsche
any body no what i should look for _________________ The Ginger

You've test fitted your V6 to the 924 with V6 bellhousing attached? _________________ Toofah King Bad

The 924 disc is 8 1\2" x 13\16" x 24t
The 931-944 disc is 8 13\16" x 1 1\32" x 23t
The biggest disc I can find to fit your application is the Vanagon and Quantum. They use a 9" x 13\16" x 24t disc.

If you want something larger, try Kennedy Engineered Products. They may be able to make something up. |
