Cool!

Looking forward to the First on the podium!

but something is screwed up on the Videos page, the First lap of the Second Class Race Part 2 video (race2_5_start.mpg) is the same filename as the First lap of the Feature Race Part 1.

The tracks look narrow, are they all like this? Have you ever mashed up a fender or bumper? If you did would you just leave it mashed up, if it didn't cause any harm to the suspension? It looks pretty bumper to bumper out there!

Yes, it's two lanes wide, except for the straights where it's 3-4 lanes, maybe. Of course on that track it's all corners. Most road courses though are much wider, at least 3-4 lanes throughout. Waterford's different... started out as a single lane track, then they widened it so they could race (back in the 50's).

I have had a small amount of contact, some on much wider tracks, but only one major hit. In most cases we push the sheetmetal back around where it needs to be and maybe shoot some fresh paint on, if necessary, or just rub off the paint from the other guy. For that one big hit (spun me right around) we also had to replace the rim and trailing arm, as they were bent. However, I do make a point to race cleanly, and you'd be surprised how many laps you can turn and how close you can run without touching. Of course, it's different that driving on a public road - here, everybody's got their head on straight (more or less), is paying attention, and is going the same direction.

Heading back out this weekend, again... stay tuned... I've got a whole new suspension setup (alignment), and got the new modified head on, so we might start to move pretty well... OTOH, we could really suck! LOL

What head mods have been done?

How much would it cost me for you to run a PositiveSale.com logo PositiveSale.com somewhere on your car

Gee, I dunno, will have to think about it!

The head had the following done: port-matched on both sides within 1" of mating surface (including work as necessary on intake to match), new valves, springs, and guides. It was on and I ran it this past weekend, no issues.

hey Vaughan, I was enjoying the videos and I was wondering about those roof mounted cameras I see on tv. I now that equipment is expensive, but do they make right angle lenses for video cameras, maybe you could cut a small hole in the sunroof hatch stick the lens through like a periscope and we can get a nice panaramic view of the races. Maybe even see the fear on the faces of drivers as they spin down the track.
