Peter, is their a way of extending the time out period for writing a message. Very often when I am writing a long response to a message, when I try to post, I will get a screen asking for my password even though I was logged in when I started the response. When I return to the message box, it is often blank, so I have lost the entire response. |

Why don't you write your response in another editor, then log on and cut & paste your response?

wow numbers, you must write some big posts
I think that the login timeout is set to 1 hour from the time the last page was sent to you.
I could increase the timeout but I don't think that would really help. If you get distracted or forced to do some real work it could be two hours or two days before you get back.
I agree with Skip's suggestion, if you're going to post more than a couple of lines then writing it in your usual writing tool and copy and paste into the post form is probably the best idea.
