is it a good idea to convert my 924 to a chevy 350 v8 i know its possible through renegade conversions and my father has exellent experience in this area that is not the problem the problem is will it disvalue the car i know that it will increace the hp to around 300 and i dont have to remove the transmision give me some advice please i also relize that maby you can put a 944,924s,and a 924 turbo all on the same transmision and the all have the same bolt pattern for the trans, and engine mounts thanks alot for your time

while i havent yet converted a 924,i have done 2 914s i also would like more info but am willing to share my experiences with renegade and the conversion process.not all is good,but nothing makes power like cubic inches!

Nothing makes power like cubes? Yes there is - BOOST!!! Plus, all that air weighs less than all that iron...

It's also easier to add more boost than adding more cubes, you just crank up the dials...

Actually, it's a well known corollary to the original statement:
"There's no replacement for displacement - except a Porsche"

If it's not fast enough for you, I'd recommend a turbo... I'm waiting for a chance to get one (just as soon as I get this race car sorted out!)

Well, the car has not great value to begin with. So if you want to play with a Chevy then have at it! John
