Ok so I've looked around on this forum a bit and I see people saying that the Audi V8 uses the same bellhousing bolt pattern, so I figured that would probably be an ideal V8 swap if that is true.
Can anyone confirm this? Is there anything that would obviously make this difficult, such as the size of the engine? |

yes, the audi i5 will bolt to the bell-housing, and there has been running i5 conversions.
The Audi v8 will bolt to the transaxles of the audis where the i5 bolts normally....
You'll have to figure out a clutch combination that works. For a flywheel you'll have to buy a aftermarket alum unit, as the factory manual trans v8 flywheels are rare/and/or cost too much.
For sure you're going to have to make engine mounts, possibly modified or custom oil pan etc.... _________________ Ryan Moone

Somewhere in this forum I posted the measurements of the Audi V8, you'll have to use those to see how it fits... I don't have a 924 handy to measure against. I do wonder about the valve cover to strut tower clearance. _________________ Ryan Moone
