OK this is getting rediculous and I need to vent on here sorry! I have been trying to sell a 79 924 for 3 months or more now, I have tried local newspapers, autotrader, ebay, craigslist a trillion times and on here and nobody has bought it yet. what do people want nowadays, a free porsche???? right. ok so what it needs some work, brakes, paint and tuneup to make it a nice porsche, but that is not really hard to do. I am not trying to make money on this car, I'm actually loosing time and money on it, I have replaced the turn signals, bulbs, the door panels and door handles, battery, air filter, distributor, spark plugs and wires, hatch struts, muffler, tires, adjusted the clutch, changed fluids, it runs and drives and has never ever left me stranded (like my old 77 did) it idles rough for a minute or two when it is cold but then runs fine. I only want 800 US dollars for this 79 924, ok I'm all done now. _________________ 2000 Cavalier Z24 imposter

+1 on the headlamp washers, but I think they're after-market. Porsche ones are smaller and set closer to the middle of the bumper.
Have a word with the dealer, tell him to be sensible, that you know the score, offer him $3000 and let him work the price up from there, but don't pay more than $3500...! _________________ 1985 Porsche 924 'Lux', Kalahari Beige (my ex)

I think he wants to trade and not do cash. Don't forget that cash speaks. If it feels right to you then do it. A vehicle is only worth what someone is willing to pay. If it is worth that to you then go for it. I waited almost a year to find the one I wanted. Don't be impatient. _________________ 1988 924S: Koni fully adjustables, Short shift kit, head work, exhaust, K&N, Jacobs ignition, Larger Injectors, Performance Chip, 928 wheels with cooper Zeon tires, Momo interior, Etc.....
