I am not cheap. Thirfty yes.
I would like to know what price you paid for parts recently. This should help all of us shop.
Therefore list the amt. paid and from whom
Part Dealer Cost
--------------------------------------------------Koni shocks
Bilstein "
Brake pads
springs fr.
tires make/mod
lighting
muffler
headers
wheels
add any part you wish but give details. Why should we pay more by not shopping.
Let me know.
the best to all

Ok, here's a rundown of some of the more recent stuff, so you can all laugh at me:

EBS (Engine Builder's Supply, Sparks NV, super-excellent guys, highly recommend them, they know their 924's):
rod bng set, 924: $35 (046 198 501 A)
oil tube $2.5 (052 115 707, the cam oiler tube elbow, bought as a spare)
Mahle oil filter: $3.95 (931 107 701 00)

...got a nice 2-layer Simpson suit from Pegasus for under $300 @ Xmas on sale...
...got a great 6-pt harness from RJS Racing in Hazel Park, MI, for under $100 new and pre-dated

yadda yadda yadda... got ripped at the dealer (Bill Cook, Farmington Hills MI) for:
clutch release guide tube: $19.04 (016 141 181, 4 times the price of aftermarket retail, but they did have it in stock , for some bizarre reason)
oil filter $6.50 (944 107 201 90 - interchangeable, more readily available at snobby dealers, and not a bad price, actually)

new OEM Sachs clutch kit: $230, plus tax and crap, part numbers:
035 141 117 E pressure plate
047 141 031 C clutch disc 215 mm
113 141 165 B release bearing

All above from All European in Royak Oak, MI

engine re-ring kit: $370 plus tax:
047 198 012 A upper gasket set
060 198 151 rings
046 198 501 A rod bearings that didn't fit, hope the ones above do!
046 198 451 main bearings
060 198 011 B lower gasket set
Those all from All European, also

More from Bill Cook Porsche:
056 115 411 A $3.13 oil pump piston (for pressure relief valve)
068 115 421 $0.75 spring for same
N 043 815 2 $0.56 copper sealing ring for same

More from All European:
047 919 561 $72.34 oil pressure sending unit
