I am trying to find new material or replacement panels for the grey velour with turquoise pinstripe front and rear seats in tis car. Piping is also turquoise! Can anyone suggest a source or ofer any other suggestions, please? The local dealer in Ottawa, Ontario just chuckled.

Mark Motors couldn't help, eh? You may actually need to contact a fabric supplier and try to match it up with something close. The chances of finding a LeMans in a junkyard with good seats are slim. I know of a nice 88 LeMans with a mint interior that may be for sale in the near future... $10,000 is a lot for a parts car though.

Here's a pic for those not familiar with the LeMans cars:

Forgot to ask: did you buy the car new at Mark Motors? If so ,I was working there during that model year and probably know the car! Be interested in some pics if you have some.

Its not exacly round the corner, but there is a firm in Hampshire, England, that advertises stocks of original material including some oddball stuff like pasha and tartan. You might try:

Southbound Motor Trimmers
e-mail: southbound@ukgateway.net

I should get round to doing this myself as I there is a tear in the driver's seat in her 924S LM (grey with yellow pinstripe version).

don't know anything about these companies, but while looking for Southbound Motor Trimmers I've found them
at Classic Car Data (http://www.ccdata.com/)

It might worth a try to find someone closer:

I want to thank the members who helped out in my search for material for the LeMans seats. The outfit in England mentined DOES have this material, as well as grey?yellow stripes, @ L59 Sreling per running meter--About 54" wide by 40" long. Of more general interst, the quoted me the same price for beige Porsche script and abour L90/meter for black script--both of these were generally thought to be unobtanium by anyone I taled to up here. Again, thanks to everyone who helped.
