I'm interested in relocating my alternater a bit lower, to make room for a new intake manifold and just free up a little room up top.

Anyone ever done this, or have any more info/suggestions on how I could accomplish this?

I don't have quite the open space back there that you do...

I'd like to keep the alternater in the engine bay

Yeah, I wish that was my car! That's Frank Celenza's (Board Member) D production 924. Sorry, nothing more constructive to add, good luck with the upgrade.

Jason looking really good,

as to moving the alt very possible but you are going to have to build a custom bracket mounting to the same location on the block.

Flosho, nice work!

I see you have removed the A/C, maybe you can move it down there....

Or maybe you could fit a smaller sized alternator off of rice burner.

See the chain at the top of the motor? .... thats attached to a engine hoist. Or something similiar.

Crunchie, that intercooler piping is sexy, whats it made out of?

You can buy aftermarket brackets without a problem. Or make one youself.
Buy flat iron stock and cut to length. Make it slightly longer so that if it has to be shorter enlarge the hole. Piece of cake.
Home Depot or Lowes sells the flat stock.

crunchie: got any close ups of the intercooler installation and the piping routing? ..... I'm going to be doing something similiar soon, and would love to see how it worked out for you.
