Hello there, and a big LOL!!!! to you. In the middle at the front of the hood is a flat piece of metal. Just pry up on it, i.e with your thumb on the hood, pull up with your 4 fingers. If that doesn't work, don't worry, we'll be here for a while!

In case you can't pop the hood, there is a round lever on the inside drivers' side on the bottom left. Pull back on that to actually pop the hood. Hope that helps.

Crawl under the car and look up.

If the cable is broken get under the car and with a long screwdriver push the holding section to one side.

finally got it. the "handle" was at the passangers side. yeay! the mech said that the only bad parts is the left control arm and the ball bearing, a worn exhaust and of course the messy interior. Within the budget so far!

Was the mechanic that told you about the faults the guy who's selling it? If so I'd be worried that he can't be too sure of all the faults if he didnt know how to open the hood.....
Just asking cos I've bought a car of a mechanic that done a great job of masking all the problems.

no no i took the car to the guy just to check it and tell me if it is suitable for buying. he has never worked on a porsche before and told me that he can replace these parts but its my job to find them. and also sugested me a famous porsche specialist. he is credible coz he is the uncle of my best friend. now i need to find the parts, the porsche dealership told me that they will order them from germany and will take about 15 days, even longer due to this truck drivers strike anyway i think i found something on ebay.co.uk. ill see.
