$39.99 from schucks auotparts for a tank mount heater
a dyna-glow tank top heater puts out
up to 15,000 put a fan behind it and presto it really
heats the garage up its been really cold out there.

My dad and I have always used a Kerosene heater to keep our garage warm. needless to say it goes outside when we deal with anything flammable. Heats the garage pretty quick 28 degrees to 80 degrees in about half an hour or less.

Why didn't I do this a couple weeks ago jeez
last week twas 27 degrees right now its 47 degrees
outside .. Ive had the heater on low for last 20 minutes
and its toasty out there in the garage.. I guess these heater use up a lot
of the oxygen in the air that's not a good thing .. ts gives off a peculiar smell too. Rastaman you gotta upgrade to a propane barbie you can
get a nice one for 150 bucks. Hey why you call yourself rastaman
dude.

Danger Will Robinson!

That unit will dump enough water into your garage to rust everything in sight.

Also it is a fire hazzard especially if you are painting....

When propane is burned it produces water vapor.

I'm actually half way through finishing my garage and this is the next item on my punch list.

I have Natural Gas plumbed into my house and my garage(2 car) is attached to laundry room. My laundry room (which I am remodeling now too) has gas piped there for the dryer. I'm going to pay someone to tap into that and run a line out to the garage (via the attic) where I am going to install a heater (undecided on appliance).

Given the responses to the propane idea, anyone have suggestions or pointers for this project?

(sorry if this is hijacking, I kind of see a relationship)

Do a search on natural gas house heaters.. or a furnace guess you'd go that route get a furnace though might be on the spendy side rather than getting some kind of specialty heater to mount in the attic...
remodeling don't say it again I feel bad enough though haven't been told cause all I do is work on the car..... I still have to paint the cupboards,
then walls in our laundry room that is also plumbed for gas for the dryer
then replace all the counter tops in laundry room, kitchen, & bar ...then onto our bedroom where Ill replace carpet with wood floor then build
these really cool shelves I designed.. then install a flatt screen tv. I had a plumber come out and add a line from our laundry room to the hot tub a couple years back when we switched to a gas hot tub.. didn't cost to much to run the line about $150.00
including the inspection by an inspector.
