thought you guys would like to have it confirmed that they do in fact fit with only a minimal amount of tweeking:
i ended up having to put spacers on the front, which i had been prepared for, thanks to a few tips from board members. and i also ended up having to roll my left rear fender. for some reason, it was just catching the inside of that lip. but that was no problem thanks to this post: http://www.924board.org/viewtopic.php?t=18671 eventually, i'll be getting that d-prod kit that i want with the flared fenders, so it's not really a big deal.. but in the meantime, that how-to article helped me take care of this quite quickly.
sooo, yeah. 16" Boxster rims on a 931: piece of cake. _________________ '81 US 931 "Rochelle" |

Looking good!
Here's something on that left rear anomaly -

why thanks! i certainly like the slightly more updated look. it's amazing how much that one detail brings a whole new freshness to the overall aesthetic.
that's crazy about the left rear difference! i thought the same thing that you said in your response to that.. that maybe it was just a poor repair job from an accident or something. wow. i can't believe that's a common thing. glad to hear that it's not from an accident, though. that's for sure! _________________ '81 US 931 "Rochelle" |

Nice! I'll have my C2s on before too much longer. Did you use WheelEnhancement? If you send them that pic, they will post it on thier website. . .

thanks guys
actually... i got the rims from ebay. came with barely-touched Dunlop Wintersport M2 tires as well.. still had nubbies on the sides of the rears.
$425 for the whole set... went and picked them up in MD myself so i didn't have to pay shipping.
ah, i wouldn't mind having that pic in the rotation here on the forum, though. where does it need to get sent? _________________ '81 US 931 "Rochelle" |

I think they look better on a 931 than they do on a Boxster!!!
Did you use 4 front Boxster wheels or are the rear wheels and tires larger? In any case for future reference, what sizes are the front and rear tires/wheels? _________________ White 87 924S "Ghost"

actually used a full set of boxter rims, both the standard fronts and rears... so we're talkin' 16x6 in the front and 16x7 in the rear. now, i can't remember exactly what tire sizes are on those at the moment, but i can check in the morning if you'd like. oh, and i did need to use spacers up front. it was recommended that i go with a 1/4" spacer... but i ended up using 5/16" due to availability. _________________ '81 US 931 "Rochelle" |

| Boxter rims do look nice, a friend of mine put some on his 924S. He has offered to give me them as he no longer has the car, unfortunately my car is 924 2.0 n/a for 4X100 fitment not 5 stud. pain really, free boxter rims and i can't even fit them. |

Not that it helps, but your bolt pattern is actually 4x108 _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan |
