I have one insane idea!

Is ti possible (is there enough space) to drill 924 engine head for second line of spark plugs (pleced like on 931 engine)!?

Alfa Romeo have about +20hp and about 10% less fuel consumption on twin spark engines, with same engine design!

Have anybody try something like it, or I'm just F#^@$% up in head ?

Well, apparently Porsche agrees with you as they thought it was good enough to do in a 911. I think you're chartering new territory here.......................sounds like a project for OOTB!

I talked with a guy years ago who converts VW engines into airplane engines- you need two spark plugs and he does this - he looked at my head and said with A LOT of work, it is possible.

I'm planning this on my 931 head. It improves flame propagation by a good amount.

Can you detail how you're going to do that?

On the spare head of course
Anyway, I have a non-repairable 931 head and I give this to my machinist guys who cut it to half to measure the exact spots, where to drill the holes. They've been done this for a number of times on various cars, so it shouldn't be too big of a problem.

This would also need an aftermarket ignition system, correct?

You could retrofit some 8cylinder ignition system to 924, but it's a waste of time and money. For that cost and time it's easier to convert to EFI injection and ignition.

U can use alfa's electronic ignition!
Stake out 924's ignition, bung hole on engine head, mount alfa's ignitio ( it have 8 spark plug cables ) & tdc-sensor on pulley (from crankshaft)!

U can close calculation in 150-200€
