did 924s ever come with fog lights? it looks like there are mounting holes and wires on mine but no fog lights. any good idea of what fits and looks good _________________ Red 1987 924S with plans for D Productions Kit

these were installed by the dealer when the car was brand new - optional dealer addon, not a request by the buyer. They are Bosch lights, and they do not look nice, IMO:

Euro 924s had the foglights or driving lights built into the bumpers.
U.S. market cars came with holes in the front bumper to dealer install foglights if ordered by the buyer, and the foglight switch and wiring were available from Porsche.
The foglights provided by Porsche were the same ones mounted on the 911s of the same period.
Installing foglights on a car that does not have them is a snap, because the wiring harness has plug-in provisions for a simple wiring harness which was sold separately, or in a kit with the 911 foglights. |

So, when I get to tracking that problem down it is worth replacing them. I am upgrading the headlamps from sealed to halogen beans. I just have to get my beans in a row and get everything lined up for one Saturday morning. _________________ 924.org (no time to complete)
