Ooh... game six of the NHL. Just a little tanked (thanks Keno )
Then game 7...
Ouch!
Decent beer here. There's a "proper" English pub up the road from my place... complete with Budweiser neon signage?!
The real Canadian bars are way better!
So, I've sorta settled in. Looking for a place to live now. I've been living without T.V. or Interweb (thank God for pubs and 'Net cafes!) but I'll be back in the swing in a week or two.
I'm probably not gonna buy that Turbo that Lizard found. It's a really nice car and whoever gets it is really getting a bargain... it's in top shape!
But it's a non-runner. Probably something really simple, it looks really well looked after. Barely a mark on the paint and only the usual wear inside (tidier than most). It needs new tyres and probably a good service but it's in top shape, the interior is better than my car! (and my car's not too bad)
Unfortunately, I've gotta buy myself a computer for work (unexpected) and travel to the 'States for The Parade so I just won't have the spare cash to fix it up for a little while. Once I get into work (hopefully this week), I'll have some play money but probably still not quite enough to do what needs to be done on that car.
On the upside, maybe he won't be able to sell it and it'll still be around by the time I've got some spare cash! _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

Yes mate, Portland OR.
But I'm heading out to WI and driving back across (long story, read the thread).
Still, I'm not far away so I hope to be down that way some time soon. Or you're welcome to come up here... I think... no, better leave it for a couple of days... everyone's still pretty sore at you for winning the Stanley Cup _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

I'll take you up on that Jamez. I plan on driving my 931 down there, unlike some people I know. But what Khal said is a good idea - why don't some of you wet coasters come up this way and hang in Van for a weekend. There's lots of excellent roads to rip on and some mighty fine scenery to. What a coincidence, I just reinsured my toofah, replete with new black painted spiderwebs.
Near Stanley park, so you're downtown? Vancouver's terminology can be very confusing. North Vancouver is across the inlet from East Vancouver, West Vancouver is west of North Vancouver and across the inlet from downtown Van. I live in Richmond, which is south of Vancouver, across the North Fraser Arm... _________________ '81 931 in various states of assembly |
