Here in Estonia we have 5 951,s and 3 of them passed the 400hp mark on the dyno. On 951 it's achievable quite easily. Try that on 924 or 931 _________________ '83 924 2.6 16v Turbo, 470hp

not on THIS dyno!
one of the cars was clocked at 445 on a different dyno, which shows how wildly inaccurate some dynos are.... (the weltmeister dyno is the dogs bits - and its australian I believe!) _________________ 1998 BMW Z3 2.8 arctic silver & red

Actually it's Bosch dyno, and it's one of the most accurate ones too _________________ '83 924 2.6 16v Turbo, 470hp

Sequential, in Finland, just 80kms over the Finnish Gulf there's engine dyno at R-Koneistos and that is one of the most accurate ways to measure output. One of the guys took his engine to the engine dyno and then to the rollers, difference was somewhere 3-4hp and I consider that quite accurate for chassis dyno. _________________ '83 924 2.6 16v Turbo, 470hp

Just being sarcastic, mate
Seems everytime someone says something about modifications or cars with a lot of power, you're the first one to tell us how it's no big deal and so easy and you've seen it all before... my natural pessimism takes over! _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

Oh yeah, probably an Englishism - if something's good its the Dog's B()llocks - Not sure the origin of the phrase, but sometimes its de-rudened to 'the dog's danglies' or 'dogs bits'.
As for how its determined, I kind of left that to the Titanic guys, according to them (many tuners/home enthusiasts and indy specialists) its the most accurate in the country, as well as the one that is able to handle the most power in the country. I know we're in the backwater that is the UK, but apparently there are only two of these in the world.....

Khal, I'm only telling what I've seen. 400 (even 300) on 931 is something special, but not so on the 951 (though it is good for 2 valve car).
And I've seen quite a lot in my life in 15 years that I spent for cars being a diy-er and car magazine journalist.
I hope to bring a nice dyno-sheet to you guys from my friends 3.0 951 with VEMS that I installed. We get it to the dyno in a couple of weeks I suppose.
My everlasting 931 project should be running in a month.

That car showed 422 hp when it was 2,5 and my other friends Markus' 2,5 showed 402 hp. 951 Turbo Cabriolet is 2,5 too and with K27/8 it put 410 hp on the rollers. _________________ '83 924 2.6 16v Turbo, 470hp
