Anyone know what the bellhousing PCD is on an audi V6. I have a 2.6 in my A4 Quattro and if it can haul that overweight lardass of a car up to indecent speeds damn quick, it may be a candidate for a transplant at the end of this years sprint season. Did a quick search and most other V6 engines came up but not Audi... _________________ 1981 NA 924 - Daily driver/sprints/hillclimbs

My advice would be to ask some Audi guys if that V6 will bolt to a 5 cylinder's transmission, or vice versa. The 924 engine shares the same bellhousing pattern and spacing as the 5 cylinder.
Good luck. _________________ '81 931 in various states of assembly |

ok so i have looked through the engine trasplants looking for Audi V6's and really didnt fint any thing useful. So i found a factor rebuild Audi V6 with a 90k mile warrenty 2.8L 12 valve for $500, then add in a Megasquirt EFI kit and drop it in my car.
i know i'll need to make motor mounts and oil pan and oil pick up
so the question is:
1) will it fit?
2) bellhousing, will it bolt up or do i need to coustomize it?
3) should i quit dreaming and go with what i have in the car |
