Okay, possible crazy idea, so standby...
I've been looking for pick-up truck bed-liner coating (Rhino, et al) to put on some steps in the back of my home. This stuff seems relatively easy to put on leaves a decent looking finish. Hmmm...
What if we took out all the carpets and lined it all with this stuff? It will also prevent rusting and should be a decent soundproofer. I would guess that after removing all the carpet and padding, this will be lighter. Put some nice floormats in and presto!
What do you think? (Don't make too much fun of me.)
