An '82... you sure you don't have DITC? I thought all from '81 on had DITC? Mine does (I know, it's a Turbo, but I thought even the NA's got it) _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

It's in the Factory Manual that only US (& I think Canadian) NA cars got DITC with EIS _________________ TJ

'82 NA has TCI-H ignition..no EIS. Think the DITC was only on the turbos.. _________________ '82 924 NA Euro (hers)

you'd know you have D-ITC if you have a single blade throttle body...
If you have TCI-H you should have EIS with the two microswitches on the dual plate throttle body...
otherwise it's a standard inductance transmitter .... or being an australian 924 it could be any combination from previous years that works...
EIS part number : 211 905 351
or non turbo idle stabiliser unit : 477 906 083
distributor code should be:
non-turbo 477 905 203
I can't find anything that relates to a non vaccum operated distributor?? So I guess that the T-CIH ignition curve may counter for the lack of vaccum advance ??

Actually I think the factory manual says TCI-i with no EIS for Aus-delivered (& at least some other RoW models as well). I'll have to drag out the factory manual PDFs I have & check tomorrow. Based on the factory manual I'm assuming I have the TCI-i ignition & I absolutely have no EIS. Build plate says June '82, so its definitely an '82.
It was actually Smoothie who first found the cap for the distributor vacuum unit for Aus cars. Can't find it in PET right now so maybe it was in the factory manual as well. Anyway, I know I did find it & it confirmed what I'd found on my car (ie NO vacuum lines connected to the vacuum unit on the dizzy & the vacuum port capped). _________________ TJ
