Yes they did, from 1982 if I'm not mistaken. _________________ '83 924 2.6 16v Turbo, 470hp

Yes - and it seems that most that got them got 2-point lap-only belts, but apparently 3-point shoulder-lap belts were made as well. All years should have the mounting points on the wheel wells, center "hump" and also up on the C pillar (for 3-point belts). Do a "Search for all terms" on "rear seat belts" and look at the topics that mention belts in the title. Here's a few -

Depends on the country. In Australia and probably most of western Europe all years were fitted with rear belts. Down here 3-point belts were required to be fitted by law. _________________ 1979 924 (Gone to a better place)

Mine is from germany and it doesn't have any. But I guess over the 28 years they could have been removed. |

If someones interested, I have a set of 2-point rear seatbelts. They're from my racecar (obviously no need for them there ) _________________ '83 924 2.6 16v Turbo, 470hp

Oz, that's strange, I thought ADRs required 3-points in all seats except centre in a 3-bum seat since mid-70's. Perhaps they didn't worry about private imports. _________________ 1979 924 (Gone to a better place)

Yep - but obviously hasn't worried either Vic or Qld as it has been reg. in both states previously. _________________ Porsche 924 1984 (UK import) NA

I just added a seatbelt (just one) to my 1984 NA, because it didn't come with one originally..... _________________ white 1984, 924 "non options" |

I've often wondered about this, but I can't find any evidence of rear belts ever having been fitted to my '85, UK spec 924, although I thought it was law here by then... _________________ 1985 Porsche 924 'Lux', Kalahari Beige (my ex)

My '82 came out from UK in '85 and it has full diagonal rear belts. Just had to replace them for a WOF (like a Certificate of Fitness) even tho they aren't used.. _________________ '82 924 NA Euro (hers)

I fitted 3-point statics to my 1978. All the mounting points/bolt holes were already there just hidden... _________________ Mars Red '78 Euro 924 n/a
