i have an 82 turbo, was replaced just before bad waterpump ruined my day, and my motor, have another motor now, went to change, took off turbo and checked it to see if it was still good, was hard to turn at first, but took partially apart and cleaned, now it turn kinda easy, can spin it by hand then it turns for additional few seconds, is this good, or should i try to find one to replace it, or just overhaul it.

That sounds good to me, about what the turbo in my '82 931 was like, put it back in, no issues except earl leaks...

Yeah, that sounds good. Check very carefully on the inside of the exhaust half. Most of the ones I've seen lately are cracked inside, some of them really bad. They look perfect from the outside. |
