Maybe in US , but in Europe, there's many German police serials where lots of Porsches are in action I've seen 928's, 944's, 924's and many 911's. _________________ '83 924 2.6 16v Turbo, 470hp

Maybe you're referring to the 928 that Al Pacino drives in scarface? It was Dolomite Grey Metallic if I remember right... _________________ '80 931 FOR SALE

There is a dp race 924 in a Dudley Moore film, the one in which he has an old butler looking after him and he meets and falls for Liza Minelli.
You only see it for a second as he is suposed to be driving it and it approaches and stops at the trackside.
Cheers

There was a movie made in the 70's which I saw on TV once, I think it was Richard Pryor in a leisure suit and huge afro. Anyway, it was his car and he parks it, then some other people come along and break all the windows and attempt to set it on fire. It was a brown 924 with beige plaid interior I believe.
I also just remembered (and don't laugh!) that cheesy Madonna movie "who's that girl?". There's a scene where they're on the streets of NYC standing by their car and you'll see a yellow 924 slowly pass by them. It was made in the 80's - not sure if it was a 924S. Must've been weird years ago to see "alot" more 924s on the road, never see them now. |

Geez, is MacGyver still on? I haven't seen an episode in years. But, I do admit to watching SG-1. _________________ 1980 924 Turbo |

I saw a 924 on the old 80's show "Hunter." A bad guy was driving it in a chase scene, lost control and smashed into a row of parked cars. Hmm, maybe it was one of the parked cars, can't remember. Anyway, destroying automotive art for a bad tv show should be a crime.
There was a red 944 in the lousy Madonna movie "Desperately Seeking Susan." It was a police detective's personal car. The "joke" was that he was a closet gay.
I only saw the last few minutes of the movie "Sixteen Candles" but this guy is driving a 944 and they show it quite a bit.
On the show "Mutant X", a bad guy was wearing a T-shirt with a big graphic of a 924 on the front. I couldn't believe it. Probably the actor has one and it was his own shirt.
Oh, just remembered another one. On Conan O'Brien they have this bit where he sings a lullaby while they show clips of disturbing images like car crashes and eye surgery. A bunch of times they showed either a 924 or 944 rolling over on a track.

My dad got a chunk of metal in his eye this morning so had it removed and the doctor told him to stay inside for the day. He was watching daytime TV and said someone from Dallas (?american TV show well before my time? ) was being interviewed and they had a gold 924 driving up to the ?dallas mansion. Apparently that means the 924 is properly cool in my Dad's view now... _________________ 1983 - 924 (185K miles) - not mint
