I'm looking for a power door lock kit for my 924S.

I think I saw a power door lock kit on pelicaparts.com or maybe it was performanceproducts for around 100, which I consider too much. Does anyone know a place where I can get one for a reasonable amount? Will any universal power door lock kit work for this car?

Also, are the door locks cable or rod driven?

My power locks drives a rod which is connected to the same rod the knob on the door are screwed on to.

a universal kit should work fine, you'll have to do a bit of creative bending to the actuator rods, other than that its fairly straight forward. i bought a kit from jc whitney a few years back and "mapped" it out, so i know itll work, but i ended up trading the kit for a cd changer before i did anything other than check for fitment.

id bet one could make this work fr a trunk release:

probably have to swap out the lock itself to a 924S or 944 unit fro the cable attachment lever.. not sure.. add a "door popper" to send the lid up, and maybe a bungee cord as a safety to stop the lid short so it doesnt bounce and separate the hatch glass from the frame. wire it into an alarm system spare button, and youve got key mount release...
