So I have a quandry. I have an early '85 944 that the previous owner smacked into a tree. Ow. I now have a '78 924 (MixMasterK's old machine) that is in dire need of bigger brakes. But the Fuchs that came with the 944 have too little offset (.92). I know I could use 924S Phone Dial wheels (the 6J's with the 2.09" offset), but that's no fun. Will 7J's with a 2.09 offset fit under the front fenders and not hit the spring?. I know the 7J's will fit the rear but I'm just not sure about the front. The existing 8 spoke 6J's are pretty snug as it is.

Thanks, Dav
