You would not believe the cost of a rebuild for my motor. A friend rebuilt it and his parting words last week were "because you
did not haunt me about when I was finishing the engine I am going to charge you xxx dollars" The figure was so low I am ashamed to tell you guys.
Now my car sits in the driveway waiting to have the alt., starter, wiring and exhaust hooked up. Too cold or rainy to do in the last week. But for the price I am paying I would not rush this guy. They are hard to find.
As soon as he comes over to finish I will let you guys know.
I cannot wait either. When it is a favor and costs practically nothing I will wait. Patience is on my side.
What Porsche mechanic comes to your house?

I got to tell you guys this because besides giving out some good advice, swap parts, stories, etc we have the wittiest people around.
